1. yes
everytime you crave a cig, just pat yourself on the back that you did it, it's over.
stop kidding yourself you want them. you know you don't otherwise you wouldn't have quit, right?

2. For several months (3 perhaps)
I was on the "one day at a time" program. Psychologically, for me, it was just too much to imagine quitting "forever." That felt like a death sentence, and I knew I didn't have the strength to commit to that. Instead, every day when I woke up I had to say, "I am strong enough not to have one today." Tomorrow I may smoke a whole carton, who knows? But today I am not going to have one.

It gets easier after a couple of months, but for a while, it's pretty horrible. Good luck to you. Chew gum. I found it helps.

5. I think that is an excellent suggestion....
Somehow the "forever" thing is getting to me. One day at a time seems doable.

8. a year and a half
hey.. the craves come in waves... if you ride it out.. it will pass
it's a little challenge that you keep with yourself.
it always feels good when you beat the crave.
(mind over chemicals)

9. My you are doing well. People say it does. People say they stopped
and you see them and they are running around, working out, focussed on the right things, and you have to be impressed. Cause it is hard.

Punkingal is a Quitter!!!!
