Oscar observations
In the Countdown to the Oscars, there are just a few things to begin making notes of.

1) Dolly Parton is really tiny--except for her breasts. I wonder how painful carrying that extra weight is on her back?

2) Some of the new people in Hollywood look really fresh in comparison to those who have done these award shows in the past. Some of the women especially are wearing pretty, bright colors instead of boring, dull black. Michelle Williams (Brokeback) with Heath Ledger is wearing a bright tangerine colored gown, for instance. I personally can't stand the Rivers women and I'm glad I'm not having to listen to their vile tripe.

3) Jada Pinkett Smith and hubby Will seem so--like an old married couple. By contrast to some other couples, I suppose they are an "old" married couple. The apparent ease and comfort they have with each other is nice to see.

More to come.

20. To me, Will and Jada seem just
like a regular couple. It's definitely kind of nice.

Something like, what do you think of those who make political remarks at the Oscars. What a loser.

5. Felicity Huffman
doesn't have big enough boobs to be wearing that dress but her hair and makeup are fabulous.

11. She probably didn't have to be
tied down very much, then. I wonder what living in their household would be like, with Felicity and William H. Macy?

18. She was on just a few minutes ago on the
show I'm watching. She really looked terrific. She chastised the interviewer, though, because he showed her clips of kudos from the Desperate Housewives co-stars. She told him her makeup was now ruined!

or she's listened to one of those image counselors who probably told her black is her color!

12. Is the award part of it going to be on TV? I was watching the red carpet
part of it on E! and it suddenly went off. I don't get the local channels, but on the lineup of them I still did not see the acadamy awards show listed.

15. They're showing it in real time on the West Coast (on ABC) at 5pm.
I'm really annoyed that there wasn't more advancen otice of this change in time. Usually, the show is tape delayed until 8 pm PT, and the "live" (really taped) Red Carpet shows are on between about 6 and 8 pm.

I was going to be out doing things this afternoon, and I would have missed the whole thing. Luckily, I was too lazy to do my errands, so I flipped on the TV, and there it was in real time.

They should really have advertised this better.

24. It's "time."
It's about ready to start.

We shouldn't need to worry about spoilers in the thread, because it's broadcast simultaneously across the country.

I can't wait to see Jon!!! The next twenty minutes should be filled with a lot of great fun!!!

He is in the movies only because his mommy and daddy were actors.

30. I bet she has quite a bit of back trouble-my best friend's girls are
both very large breasted on small bodies. They are both in their early twenties and have back problems. In fact their doctor has said they may need a breast reduction before it is all said and done.
