The son-in-law to be's parents are divorced. Mom and step dad live here, and they are nice. Dad and step mom live in Denver and we've never met them.

I don't know how formal the wedding will be, but Mr. SG and I will be doing the cake and flowers. We're leaving it up to them to decide what they want.

...when my brother got married to his now wife, they had a big wedding, that must have cost a fortune. Anyway, my family and his wife's family were complete assholes to each other the whole time, and sniped at each other continually. I was engaged at the time - with my now wife - and we just couldn't believe how everyone was acting. It was surreal. Suffice it to say, when we married, we went to the county court clerks office, and had him marry us, then flew to New Orleans for the honeymoon. When we got there, we called all our family to let them know, the deed had been done. It may have pissed them off, but we avoided a lot of unnecessary blood-shed...;-) :rofl:
