What's The Trick To Getting People To Reply To GD Threads That Are NOT ...
Related to Howard Dean, Wesley Clark or Ralph Nader?

If there is, can anyone share it?

:D

4. Or start with something no one believes to be true
that seems to work.

Those threads hang around for days even after their umpteenth debunking.

6. I posted some really horrible initiative Repubs are pursuing...
...take FDR's mug off the dime and replace it with Raygun's. Got some health but not nearly as much as DeanClarkKerryNader.

7. You might as well post it in the lounge.
Aside from the usual few smartass responses <glances around
guiltily>, Loungers are certainly willing to engage in
serious discussions.

I could post a bunch more if you want.

13. Form a group of friends that are intersted in the issues you are
and use them to support bringing the issue to light.

Be clear, I am NOT suggesting disrupting the board with an ulterior agenda.

People are into repetition. When we wanted to bring the energy bill to light, we had to keep reminding people that this bill was FAR more important than navel gazing candidate wars.(granted the primaries are important but only about 3 in 50 candidate posts is enlightening IMHO)

We now have a group of people that can tell when we are serious about an issue and the research and actions needed to bring it to the forefront. We don't even need to PM them...they get it.
