If I were director, I'd have sent him off to learn how to drive a stick. It's not like he doesn't get paid enough. They teach these people everything from movie "martial arts" to dancing. Getting Craig to operate a proper stick would be child's play in comparison, and to play James Bond he really should step up and learn.

In the remake of "The Italian Job", Mark Wahlberg, Charlize Theron and all the other principle actors were sent to a stunt driving class so they would know how to drive and make it look real. One would suspect anyone doing a James Bond movie would have to know how to do some fancy driving.

Really cool! My brother taught me how after a clutch spring (or some kind of mechanism) broke on my old VW Quantum. Could have saved a towing fee. Got another chance to use my new skill a couple months later when the clutch failed again.

I miss a manual shift car. And some (but now all) of my old clunkers. Never worried about getting a dent or scratch.
