Get this, her new thing is, if she walks into the kitchen she has to walk out of it backwards. My sister assumes it's so she can keep an eye on the hallway that she has to cross to get to the living room. She seems scared of the floors.
I think she needs a shrink

Our dog will backup on command and he has some pretty fancy dance moves for a big guy with two left feet. He will walk AROUND places where he has spun out though.

Half yellow lab, half pit. Insanely smart dog, actually. Not quite as quirky as the dog you described but my dog does enjoy sleeping on her back with all four legs in the air. She's hilarious.

5. That dog must be nearly as smart as a cat! |
|
A few more IQ points and it'll be as insane as a cat! ;)

7. Some dogs dont like hard floors |

One of ours (a lab) hates the kitchen floor, and will actually jump from rug to rug to avoid touching it.

8. One of my cats, Tate, keeps his back to the wall, like a hitman |
|
He has several vantage points in the house where he keeps a 180-270 degree view of his surroundings. When he is in this mode, we call him "The Tate-sassin."
