1. He might be a nice guy, I don't know.
But I think he's quite overrated as an actor.

2. Well he's from San Mateo/Burlingame
So being a betting man I would wager he's at least a Democrat...quite possibly center-leaning.

3. He's supposed to be one of the nicest people in Hollywood.
He's done some good roles. "Philadelphia", which I liked, is but one example. I have a lot of respect for him, also.

5. All-around good guy and a Democrat, I believe.
He pretty much keeps it private, though.

7. A GREAT guy and a GREAT Democrat.
He has put alot of his own money into Democratic causes. He also has a staunch loyalty to those who served in the military and was fairly close with Stephen Ambrose. He has great ties to John Glenn, too.

10. Yeah, I do.
And I'm not sure why, but I do.
He just seems down-to-earth and like the whole stardom/Hollywood thing hasn't gotten to him.

11. I used to
until he threw his might and wealth behind the neo-fascist monstrosity on the Mall calledthe World War Two Monument. The first monument to victory in DC. it would not have happened without Hanks shilling for money, and playing the guilt card "5,000 verterans die every day, we need to build them a monument." once he got involved in that, I lost all respect for him.

13. I think war monuments are fair
No matter who pushes for them.

Think about it, you're a ytoung man and you haven't even begun a life then you get sent away to die in some godawful way. 5000 a day...I think a momument is in order.
