Holy crap. Pop-up promos that cover the entire TV screen now.

You know those little animations that appear on screen while you're watching TV? How they inhabit a corner for a few moments, promoting some other show that has nothing to do with what you're watching?

Pretty annoying, huh? Well, someday we may look back on them fondly.

Now VH1 is doing full-screen promos -- right over what you're trying to watch. Covering up the entire screen.

Unreal. There's little enough reason to watch TV as it is -- spending the day in bed because of illness, for example. But if this is the beginning of a trend, I think I'm finally ready to join the "kill your TV crowd."
