Acer Warranty Service only just received my laptop today, although it was shipped seven days ago. They went with a courier (PuroLATER) who routinely take six days to deliver "two day service". If I'd known they use PuroLATER, I would have tied the package to the back of a trained money for faster across-the-country shipping.
That means no laptop for the weekend, which also means I have to turn down a two day contract gig, for which I would have had to bring my laptop. So that means Acer's substandard service not only sucks, but it's costing me $800 in lost revenue.
Oh, and they had Cher on their Muzak service, for much the hour I spent on hold. I'd rather be beaten than listen to Cher.
Next laptop: back to Toshiba. I'm sorry I strayed. I never should have gone anywhere else.
