Update on Eleanor.
Edited on Wed Mar-08-06 09:04 AM by Beware the Beast Man
She's back home and resting. She still has her eye teeth, since the vet thought they were in decent enough shape to keep. She'll be on antibiotics and steroids for the next 6 weeks. She has a bit of pep back, as I spent the better part of 15 minutes this morning chasing her out from under the bed to give her her medicine.

Thanks everybody for your kind words in my thread the other day. Elly appreciates it. :D

edit- here's the thread from the other day, for reference:

She'll be out and about and beating up on Coleman in no-time flat.

On edit: this thread would have serious legs if the title specified that Eleanor is a kitty. ;)

3. Glad she's getting better...
I had to give a pill to a cat for the first time last week. I have the scratches to prove it...but you're right, it is a sign they're doing better!

10. Way too true in my opinion
My girl was diagnosed with asthma last may. So I was searching the internet to find out some tips and came across that! Seriously though since she has to get a pill every day I ended up buying a thing called a cat piller. It's kinda like a plunger that on one end has a rubber thing to hold the pill and a depressor on the other end. This has worked quite well. Although I do still have to wrap her in a towel as to not get scratched. Ask your vet they usually have them.

11. Fortunately, her antibiotics are in liquid form.
The steriod, on the other hand, is in pill form, and we have to mix it in with her food. The drops are enough of an ordeal; I couldn't imagine if we had to force-feed her a pill.

4. YAY for Elly!
Give her some belly rubs for me, and once her teeth are feeling better, give her some nice kitty treats, preferably the ones my two go gaga over, Liv-A-Littles chicken treats which are nothing but pure freeze-dried chicken, no preservatives or chemicals added. Mine will beg at the refrigerator door for these things :P

6. No clue.
It had to have happened before we adopted her, because our cats are strictly indoor.
