It's worthwhile taking a moment to think of the work on women's rights that needs to be done globally - for instance in South Dakota, and here in the UK where women are consistently underpaid, and in Iraq where women are being stoned for wearing the wrong thing. And all over the place, really.

(It's also my birthday. Yay for me!)

I was surprised to learn when we were announcing our ages in a thread a while ago that you are so young. You write much older, and that's a good thing. :-)

A few years ago when we were in college a friend of mine would stand on a busy section of campus and demand her $0.73, (or whatever the pay gap per dollar is--I forget exactly what it is/was), from men who walked by in honor of International Women's Day. She wound up with like, 10 bucks by the time she got tired of standing there.

Because, you know, that totally makes up for everything. :eyes: Still, it was fun.
