12. You're probably not initiating PM's

If you want Duers to talk to you privately, you should reach out to a few of them first. Then you'll have a dialog. Then they'll start PMing you and - viola - you've got yourself a real live friend.

I keep the email notifications of PM's in a separate folder since August and it has 615, so that averages about 5 a day.

That seems kinda high really, normally 2 or 3 a day on average.

Just something I've posted somewhere or a thread I participated in will generate a PM from someone, oftentimes someone who did not even contribute to the thread. I'm sure this is how PM's get started with others as well.

From September to about 3 weeks ago, I'd get a lots of PMs and many e-mails too. Now, it's back to simply spam, campaign news, church stuff, PTA, and an occasional friend.
Sigh....:(
