Poll question: Do you like the baked or fried McDonald's pies better?
Is it the newer, more wholesome baked pies that were introduced in the early nineties that you like better, or the fried tube of molten hot lava filling that was around before that?

2. The facts are clearly on my side.
If you were to look up the numbers, you'll find that Oasis was more popular than the Beatles in the 90s.

3. Sorry, but I think that eating hour-old, uncooked roadkill is safer.
Squirrel and skunk souffle...

4. Thanks, but I like being alive and healthy
Thus I stay away from McDs and most other fast food, unless I'm absolutely, positively starving.

5. I don't think that I ever tried the older version
We weren't allowed to get extras like that at a fast food place when I was growing up. Unfortunately, I am serious.
No wonder why I am so messed up about food.

9. Similar fried pies show up at other fast-food establishments.
Edited on Wed Mar-08-06 06:22 PM by LoZoccolo
I know that Checkers had a similar fried pie, but I'm not sure anymore because they seem to have closed down around me. It also seems like the kind of thing you'd see at a hot dog stand (they are all over the place in Chicago) or the kind of place where they have gyros and pizza puffs.

Someone made a list of places which serve fried pies, but it looks old to me because Hot N Now in Michigan closed down and it says it was updated in September 2003: http://www.ccytsao.com/friedapplepie.htm

6. "McDonald's," "pies," and "like" should...
never, ever be in the same sentence.

Pies are the food of the gods. You will not find them at McDonald's.

McDonald's does not serve pies. What they will sell you is a mixture of unmentionable leftovers they couldn't figure out how to put in anything else, toxic waste, and various flavorings to hide its true nature.

18. More like dialectics.
It's very simple dialectics. One through nine. No maybes, no supposes, no fractions. You can't travel in space. You can't go out in space, you know, without like, you know, with fractions. What are you gonna land on? One-quarter? Three-eighths?

20. only on the Enterprise....
life would be much less interesting without fractions, though. You would be reduced to picking those single (scary) pies, rather than fractional parts of delectable home made ones!

(I can go on like this for weeks, you know)
