Poll question: The Ultimate Quirky Movie
Edited on Wed Mar-08-06 06:17 PM by SouthoftheBorderPaul
I'll set the scene:

You're wearing your horn-rimmed glasses and faded green, button down, second-hand shirt. You've alighted from your cruiser bike, complete with basket, exhausted from a 4 hour shift at the coffee shop. All you want to do it plop down on your orange naugahyde easy chair and drink a PBR which you'll enjoy fully aware of all ironic implications. You turn on the TV, reach for your stack of VHS tapes and cue up this movie:

Dogma was okay by me. His dialogue always sounds so stilted to me, like "Hey, I can hear Kevin Smith talking THRU this character." IMHO, that trait was worst in Dogma. But if you dog it, cool!

The gun is good. The penis is evil. The penis shoots seeds, and makes new life, and poisons the earth with a plague of men, as once it was. But the gun shoots death, and purifies the earth of the filth of brutals. Go forth and kill!

63. I Would Have to Say "Memento"
followed closely by "Following" (another Christopher Nolan) and "Fight Club."

Depends on what kind of quirkiness is meant. There is a lot of it to go around.

Of those listed, I would vote for "Harold and Maude."
