"Black Op's" Hairstyling Salons for Women....The Newest Trend?

Does anyone know what I'm talking about, here?

Black walls...harsh lighting and loud pulsing music. Hairstylists dressed in BLACK and the chairs lined up like something from a "clone workshop" in a futuristic "MATRIX" style movie.

My local hairstyling place just converted from a sun filled space with warm "peach colored female friendly hairstyling" to a place from hell. They re-modeled and the new place looks like the inside of a coffin with music and art work from my vision of HELL!

I walked in for my appointment today after their "move to new location" and thought I'd entered some freak zone....

Have any of you had this experience with a Hair Salon you've gone to for years turning into something from the "MATRIX?"

Or...do you currently prefer a place that's painted black with no windows or sunlight with surrealist paintings and Loud Pulsing Bass...and hairstylists dressed in black...performing the perfect cut and color to your needs.

Sheesh...when I walk out of that black space with glaring flourescent lights my "dark blond highlighted hair" might turn out GREEN or COPPER OR WHO KNOWS WHAT...Aside from my fragile nerves who have been assaulted in the chair that's lined up in rows with the stylists in black making me feel like I'm being CLONED!

AGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH...

Give me Pink or Blue or any color with flowers and soft music and a wonderful experience of pampering.

I'm JUST NOT INTO Hard Edged STAINLESS STEEL...BLACK FROM HELL COFFIN STUFF just for a HAIR CUT AND HI-LIGHTING!

I left the place feeling I was VIOLATED! I thought they might do an Iris Scan or Finger Scan on me......
