Just saw this posted on a Nashville club scene website....
"Yesterday, The Strokes and The Kings of Leon found themselves in the same city with the day off, so what else would there be to do besides an impromtu game of baseball? It happend, and somehow the bands secured the use of David Lipscomb’s baseball field for the well timed spring event. While The Strokes team was comprised of the band and road crew, The KOL had to draft the rhythm section of Slack to fill out their roster. The nine inning game resulted in a victory for the KOL, or “South” team, who reportedly scored eight of their runs during the one inning that Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas pitched."
Damn, I used to live right there! Saw The Strokes at the Ryman Monday night and it was smokin'!
