Some people are so incredibly fucking stupid
Edited on Thu Mar-09-06 12:55 PM by DS1
There's a person that I'm listening to, she's filing a report because she was walking to her car, got a cellphone call, put her laptop up against her car's tire, and answered the call. Then she got in and drove away.

Now, it's dumb enough to leave a laptop on the ground and drive away, but WHY would ANYONE rest it against a tire? How STUPID do you have to be to put it there, of all places? Sure, I've seen people driving around with handbags, cokes, shoes on the tops of their cars and that's pretty dumb. But to place a laptop in a wheelwell?

Some people should be designated for physical labor jobs only.

6. It's absetminded to put something down and forget it
It's moronic to put it against that which can crush it flat.

It's like resting a baby on some train tracks because you're tired.

7. The Darwin awards should begin a new category
About this sort of thing. It might be illuminating to see how many people who actually commit these kinds of stupid acts voted for GWB!

8. Sounds mostly distratcted to me.
I mean, putting it there was a dumb idea, sure, but one day I was pumping some gas, walked into the store, bought some stuff, came back out, got in my car, and was THISCLOSE to driving away before I remembered that I had not taken the nozzle out of the car. It comes from doing too many things at once and not paying attention. It's a problem -- we all need to learn to slow down -- but OTOH if your boss or your kids are yapping in your ear about something they consider "really important," it's hard to remember to stop and focus.

10. That's not the point
There's distracted, and just plain dumb.

It's smart to pull your car over to have a phone conversation, you're an IDIOT of you stop on railroad tracks.

There's the diff.

11. You don't want to know the answer to that question.
I provided laptop support to private investigators for years. You really, really don't want to know the kinds of things people do to their laptops (and before you ask, I have had people run over their own laptops... and yes, I used a plural there).
