MMMM Warm Blackberry cobbler.
It is sweet, but not too sweet, and also has a tartness to it too. Oh this is so good. Wish I had some vanilla ice cream to go with it. OH MAN!!!!! I have chills.

the neighbor across the alley had blackberry bushes & every year, he'd let us pick some. That night, my mom would make blackberry cobbler!! MMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmm

3. My grandmother had blackberry bushes...
We used to pick them and she would make cobbler and jelly with them. It brings back a great memory from when I was a kid.

24. I used to have blackberry bushes.
We had a few that the previous owner had planted. A couple of them were placed where we'd get scratched by them all the time*, so I dug them up after a few years. The remaining bushes got mad and died the next year.
I miss the blackberries. Got to plant more.

*scratched, but you could say *tagged You're It!*

30. We have wild balckberries all over my part of the Southeast.
You've gotta watch out and be careful in the blackberry patch though, 'cause you can get chiggers. My plan always involves picking from the edge of the patch while wearing long pants and socks (and anit-chigger spray).

I'm so jealous. No more BBs in the freezer and it's still about 3 months before we have in here in NC....BB are the best, but I'd rather have a BB pie than cobbler.

27. My wife and I were back in upstate NY visiting my family a couple
of summers ago. A high school friend of mine invited us over to dinner with some other couples.

After dinner, he tells us that there is blackberry pie for dessert. I have never been a big fan of blackberries, and neither was my wife so we said we would split a piece.

So the pie comes and we each take a bite. I look at my wife and whisper, "This is the best freakin' pie I have ever tasted!" My wife then says, "Could I have my own piece of pie?"

My friend and his family used to run a diner and his Mom did all the baking. He picked the blackberries and gave them to his Mom and she made the pie for him. I can still taste that amazing pie to this day...and no other pie has come close to matching it!!

If you get the sweetness right to compliment the tartness.
