For what? A slice of bread when the crash comes?
Yeah, I'll probably save it in all honesty... netflix renting DVDs is okay too. :)

5. Here's a pic of the jacket itself.

I wouldn't wear it zipped together...

7. I could never wear that.
But it's definitely a very cool jacket. Definitely a jacket that makes a statement when you're out clubbing.

8. Apart from "dork", perhaps...

Tempting, but it's ultimately not my style. I don't like corduroy. Yuck.

4. A fool and his money are soon parted.
If you have excess money to spend on things of no value then you aren't saving enough. Do you REALLY want to be a wal-mart "greeter" when you are 65?

6. Who said I'd live to 65? Who said walmart would take me as an employee?

I've talked about point 1 plenty of times.

Point 2: I've tried applying for them and many other places and have never been able to get work. Attending Aspie support group meetings has plenty of other people in the same position... unable TO get a position.

I see it like this: I am not a defeatist. I am a realist. I shall enjoy life while I can. I have no tomorrow, though I am still doing what I can to pay back what I do owe because I think there might be one and if you want to know more, PM me - I didn't kill myself 4 years ago, therefore I can't now.) (and have given extra in the past, but thanks to homerland security I may as well stay the course and pay the same amount and do whatever with the extra...) and I do not wish to spend 30+ more years with my joints and muscles tingling and numbing; I'll likely be paralyzed in 2. Never mind other issues... I wish there was a tomorrow, but I can't even get a date. :P :)

12. Sorry HypnoToad, I haven't been following your situation.
I was just making a comment on frivolous spending in general. I was unaware of your condition. In light of that- buy whatever floats the boat! I would spring for the naked housecleaner myself...........

16. I found buying things to be pretty much empty too. So it doesn't matter.
I know my situation. I know my errors. I know my folly. I know the public environment I was raised in... I know my folly.

I don't blame you personally; in a parallel dimension things would be a LOT different.

I came through a lot. And I've been weight lifting to rebuild atrophied arms, with some success... (without aggrevating my spinal cord and I can feel it when the vertabrae rub together... never mind the last MRI showing a slight but distinct continuation of degeneration in my neck...)

Still, unlike major hollywuss movies where people in my situation or worse always end up perfect with the happily-ever-after live, I'm reality.

At least I've tried. Even some fools are smart enough to repent...

9. On a second thought...
You're right.

Chances are I won't live that long, but it is worth the effort. After all, I've been paying back a lot more for the last 4 years and opted to face the struggle. Why quit, in the face of increasing doomsaying on the part of the media - which in of itself may be empty hype too?
