I wonder what work will bring today
Yesterday, there was a huge gas leak in the area (outside, you could smell gas. As if you were sitting in a small room with a gas stove on or something, VERY VERY strong), most of the street was closed off near my workplace, it was icky. We, of course, had remained open.

Then, INSIDE the building, we had the pipes back up. In to the basement. Pipes full of sewage. ALL DAY it smelled like raw sewage inside my workplace. It was nauseating. And when you opened the door to get some fresh air..... gas.

Makes me curious about what today will bring...

2. You work for one of those employers
who absolutely will not give their employees the day off, no matter how bad conditions get, I see. :hi:

5. Well, it wasn't *so* bad
Just really... gross... a little nauseating... It's not like there was sewage flooding the lunchroom or anything ;)

But it's funny, customers didn't seem to want to come in or stick around

9. “My baby,
how big you’ll be in a very short while. You’ll be going to school and you wouldn’t want your daddy there now will you, darling. Oh, I wish you could be my baby all the time. I wonder what the future holds.”

14. I once worked at Bloomingdale's in New York, and one day the
entire building was filled with smoke that smelled like burning rubber. It was coming from some subway project nearby that had gone awry. Anyway, it was so bad you could barely see and it stung your eyes and nose. Of course, the stench cleared out all the customers.

And they WOULDN'T CLOSE THE STORE.

I finally just left--I'll be damned if I'm gonna work in some noxious polluted hellhole when there aren't even any customers! :wtf:
