Does your cat have a "Play with me RIGHT NOW?" toy? Here's Tate with his "pink sisal/green tail" toy. When he shows up with this and meows, it means:

"Drop everything, food provider, and give me attention immediately!"

They're very direct and vocal.

One will try to climb me to get my attention. Another will keep poking me with one paw. There is no escaping the need to play with the cats.

meowing with "The Toy," were at DEFCON 1.

10. Awesome- so are Quinn & Althea!!

I'm getting a digital camera next week and then you'll never hear the end of it from Sophie & me. I love her little personality too, her "chattering", leaping, sashaying, and the little "beep-beep" she makes when she meows.

9. Kamere screetches at me starting at 5:30 am if his bowl is

empty and will not relent until I get up. He climbs up on the bathroom sink and flips everything onto the floor, he knocks my alarm clock on the floor, he finds crinkly paper to play with, he jumps on the bed and howls. Right now, he's kicking his water bowl and chasing his dried food all over the kitchen. BRAT.

1) his leopard print ribbon on a stick.

2) his little stuffed Cat-nip piggy.

20. MY Milo has dozens of sparkly balls

which he drops on me at night, demanding I throw them so he can retrieve them. Over and over and over and over; mostly after 1:00 a.m. He is relentless.

24. Snickers has an afflication for bottle caps. any plastic bottle cap.

She will bring one into the room and pester me til I through it. She has actually jumped up and shoved me if I do not pay attention to her. She plays fetch with them, and we can play for 5 hours with her going and getting them and bringing them back. She wears me out doing that.

26. I'm my cats' favorite toy.

Though Angel will drag her leather strips on a string to us when she wants to play. Fuzzball just stretches up and pats me until I pay attention to him, or sits behind me and chatters until I get the laser for him.

They are both utterly spoiled, and since I'm home most of the time, they feel free to demand playtime 24/7.

27. A couple of mine do...

When one wants to play -- and NOW -- she'll hunt down paper wherever she can find it. Or if she hears you with a piece of paper in your hand, no matter where in the house you are or what you're planning on doing with that piece of paper...she has her own ideas.

Another one carries around a little beanie-baby when she wants to play or wants attention. She'll come looking for you with her beanie-baby and start throwing it at you. If you don't take the hint fast enough, she'll stretch up your leg and start to howl.
