I've Got Some Bad News, Folks......

Jody, a regular contributor both here in the Lounge and on the Justice/Public Safety board, lost his wife last Friday.

Jody sent me an e-mail yesterday with some pics of her and them with the obit. He lives about 2 1/2 hours from me. I got it all screwed up and thought it was his mom who had died. For some reason I thought he was a youngster, but I think he's about my age (60s).

I wish I had saved it, I'd post it.
The subject line said "The light has gone out of my life."
They had been married 46 years and she sounds like a remarkable lady.
I'm not sure how much he'd want me to share, but he's a fairly high ranking military officer (retired, I think). His son is following in his footsteps.

Jody has sent me some copies of LTTE that have been published in AL newspapers, and they are damned good. He and his family are in my thoughts.

Out of respect for Jody's privacy. If he wants to share it with DU, I think he should be allowed to make that decision when he returns.
