Sopranos question
In Season Five, Tony B comes back after 17 years in prison. But he has 8-year old twins. Was this ever explained?

1. I don't know
But I think sometimes prisoners are allowed to have intimate relations with their spouse.

2. Something about smuggling Tony B's sperm...
...out of prison, was mentioned (if I remember correctly.) I think maybe Tony Soprano actually might have helped him do this? I could be wrong about this though, but I think that is how it was explained--artificial insemination.

3. Yes, his sperm was smuggled out of prison, but I don't know who
did it.

4. Ah! The mystery is solved.
I've watched all the episodes at least three times each but never picked up on that. There tends to be a lot of background noise in my house, with two infants. I love the way the episodes get funnier each time you see them, as you can concentrate on dialogue and character development and not so much on plot.

5. Is that the greatest series or what.

"T" is brilliant in his role and I loved the opening scenes of the series, T watching the ducks in the swimming pool.
Oh and his dear mother, what a role that was

6. In my opinion, it is the best character development EVER
and it really, actually, has made me think a whole lot about things like plurality, absolute morality, etc.

You love Tony...but he is a killer, a beast.

7. Oh they are all big time sociopaths there
I don't love T or the rest but they do make me laugh with their total craziness. One of the few sets of characters that can make me laugh at sociopathic behavior

8. I was reading some interesting things today about some of the cast.
It seems that the guy who plays Johnny Sac we a concrete contractor until about 10 years ago. And the Paulie actor actually spent time in prison before getting into acting. Furio is a painter who intends to go back to painting. (I wonder if that means he will not be back? Has that subplot played out? Evidently Tony tried to have him killed in Italy when Carm told him about her infatuation.)

Do you have any predictions?

9. No, none.
But I find Christopher a very interesting little idiot/creep who Tony may off if Tony ever finds out how Christopher really hates him. I think Carmella will stay with T forever because she is too accustomed to and likes the power. Same with the kids, they will never renounce T as a father. It's super interesting watching the interaction of these characters.
