My cheer kids did great!! :^D

We didn't place or anything, but I didn't expect us to since our division is for schools of 250 students or less. We have 20-odd kids in our middle grades and the schools that won were at the upper end of the size limit.
But after a week of practices where every stunt crashed down I was just happy to see them stay up in the air. :)

This was our first comp this year and the first comp ever for half the team. All my kids were SO nervous before they took the floor. I told them they only needed to remember two things: 1) have fun, 2) entertain the crowd. For the most part they looked like they were having a good time but the newest ones had a bit of trouble keeping the smiles on their faces.

The judges were very sweet and let me put the vidcam on the table so I could record this, but unfortunately the kids kept wandering in and out of the frame. *lol* Even so, they were able to watch their performance and saw that they did just fine. :)

The performance adrenaline kicked in and they looked much more confident! Good job.

we have been working on building up our mojo. *g*

They are too precious and I feel so lucky their parents lent them to me for the past 7 months. :D
