What are the last few concerts that you have seen?
I saw the Del McCoury Band last night, old school bluegrass.
Saw Wilco a few days ago and the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club a couple weeks ago.
All the shows were great. Going to see Del McCoury again in a few weeks and will be seeing Dinosaur Jr. in about three weeks. Gotta love some music.

1. Last one I saw was the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
I know that's not what you want to know, but nobody had posted here, and I didn't want to let your thread die!

4. I appreciate it.....
and that is a "concert" as well. What did they play? I am a huge baroque and Renaissance period guy myself.

2. The only concert I went to was ...
Janet Jackson Rhythm Nation 1814 Tour in 1990 - It was my 10th birthday present . One of the best nights of my life .

The only other concert that I ever attended was by accident . It was in February 1998 at Universal Studios , REO Speedwagon was playing on the main stage . All I remember is seeing them and standing in the middle of a bunch of drunk people waiting for the Mardi Gras parade to start . That was a kick ass night !

Ann Wilson still has a set of pipes that will knock your socks off!

I also saw the Gypsy Kings a few weeks ago!

5. I saw Def Leppard in NOLA one month before Katrina.
And they were great. Still a great arena band. Saw them at the UNO Lakefront Arena. Then we went back to our hotel room at the Inn on Bourbon, and my son threw beads down to young ladies on Bourbon Street. It was a memorable night...it was his first concert, and his first time to stay in the Quarter.

8. nothing much lately
Last one was Rush in Nashville almost two years ago. I guess I'm getting old. Not many big bands come around anymore, and the ones that do I'm usually not interested in. Sigh.

19. No, not together. We were lucky enough to have both come thru
our town in a relatively short amount of time. We're in Santa Cruz...

:hi:

They're all great, if you ever get the chance, make it happen!

16. Rise Against, Drive By Truckers...pissed that I missed Kevn Kinney last
month, though. I was looking forward to seeing him again (solo date, not a STAR gathering).

I hope to catch the Warped Tour again when it hits town, surely in August. Who has an outside concert, in Florida, in August?

18. Toots and the Maytals, The Wailers
Those are the last two I saw when I was pregnant with my older son - three years ago. Unless you count Sesame Street Live. I am hoping Dane Zanes comes around here so I can take my kids!

20. It's absolutely ages since I've been to a concert.
The last one was a semi-staged performance of Giulio Cesare in Egitto by the Glynbourne Opera as part of last summer's Proms season.

Need to get to something fairly soon or I'll go mad from withdrawal. :(
