Quick! How do you post pix!

In DU help section it says all I need to do is write http://(whatever).... so how do I move something from my C:\ to the 'net?

Problem: Right now I have an Image on C:\ that I wanna post... but how to post it, technically, specifically?

1. Post it on Imageshack or another photo site.

Once it's hosted, copy and paste the URL into the body of your message.

2. Here you go....

1. Go to www.photobucket.com
2. Create a free account. Takes about a minute.

3. Go to "My Album"
4. You will see a box where you will type in the location on your computer where the photo is that you want to upload. Beside that box is a Browse button. Find your photo on your pc, and double click on it. Click Upload.

5. AFter you photo is uploaded, click on it, and it will take you to the big version (not thumbnail). Right click, select Properties, and another box will pop up. Highlight the URL in the box, and right click it, and select copy.

6. Come to DU and start a thread. In the Message area, right click, and select Paste. Then click Post Message, and your photo will be on DU.

3. You'll need an account with a photo hosting service

such as Photobucket. Their basic service is free, and it's very easy to sign up and use. They pretty much walk you through the process. Once you sign up for your account there you need to upload your pics into it, then you are ready to post them into your messages here (or other locations).

Whenever you're ready to add a pic to a message, open your Photobucket account in a second window. Locate the pic you want and copy its URL (the HTTP number). Paste that into your message where you want it to appear and viola! , it will be there when your message is posted.
