Know what I hate about PBS?

'Course you don't, because I haven't told you yet. :P

Okay... the San Jose PBS station is showing a T Rex film during a pledge drive (When isn't there a pledge drive?) and during the breaks the twinkie shill is talking about how we all loved T Rex and Marc Bolan and what an influence they were, etc. etc. etc.

And you listen to the twinkie and look at her and think, "Girl, you were born about two weeks after Bolan was killed, and your favorite band is probably the New Kids on the Block."

They always do this. I dunno why they don't find people who can at least sound intelligent about the stuff they're plugging.

1. I hate that too.

I love PBS, but I hate fund drive time. They just go on and on. I can't stand it. They can't even make themselves let some program finish before they interrupt and start blabbing. And they don't look like the types of people who would know one single thing about the program. I saw a great documentary about the Mamas and the Papas where they kept interrupting it so much that I finally turned it.
