(Insert crude joke here.)

But since I can never find it, I usually drink Red Bull if I need a solid dose of caffiene.

I've been told it tastes like a Shirley Temple, but I've never tasted a Shirley Temple, so I can't confirm that.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

But I *refuse* to say the name out loud.;)

7. In a soft drink...

As an espresso, café americano. Not because espresso is too strong by itself, it just doesn't last as long.

As coffee, black. No cream no sugar.

It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion,
It is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed,
The hands acquire shaking, the shaking becomes a warning,
It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.

11. Iced tea or Mountain Dew
Edited on Sun Mar-12-06 04:38 AM by last_texas_dem
That's about it for me. I'm generally more of a juice/ fruity, non-caffeinated soda kinda guy, but I've gotten to where I drink iced tea like water. A bad habit, but I guess tea's not quite as bad caffeine-wise as other caffeinated drinks. The Mountain Dew I should probably stay away from altogether, though...

18. Espresso IS coffee - coffee IS caffeine.
It's that simple.

I do also drink tea (obviously), but that's not really a caffeine source in the same way.

45. I bought a Mate in Argentina

Virtually identical to yours, after spending a few days in Mar Del Plata seeing every living thing sucking out of one of those.

I bought a couple of pounds of yerba, and got lessons from anyone and everyone on their preferred technique.

With sugar, without sugar, second pouring of hot water... it doesn't matter - it still tastes like hay.

Everybody told me, whatever you do, don't smoke the yerba.

I've got half a mind to try smoking it, because as a drink, I can go suck on hay without importing it from Argentina.

37. Oh hells no
It's strong, with just a little bit of sugar. But the coffee itself is good enough that you just need a little bit of sugar. We used to drink Tschibo a lot when we lived there, which is a bit like Starbucks here (big chain, lots of carp to buy in the store, etc), but I'd take that over Starbucks any day!

If you've ever been in a coffee shop that roasts on-premises, you know what
I mean. NOTHING better. Some of my friends have been getting into home
