Most enjoyable genre/style of music
My favorite: classic rock. Followed closely by: power pop, pop/rock, 80s rock, folk, folk/pop, Motown, heartfelt country, alt-country, indie, classical.

4. What are your favorite punk artists?
I'm not a huge fan of the genre, but I enjoy the Clash and Ramones.

6. The Clash are great.
I'm a big fan of X, Fear, Buzzcocks, Bad Brains, etc. as far as older stuff goes. As for newer stuff...my favourite straightfoward punk band would probably be Propagandhi. Most of the newer stuff I listen to is usually some random subgenre like post-hardcore and whathaveyou, though.

8. I wish I could sometimes lock my own threads, too ... ;)
But here are some answers. I do like classical music (wide spectrum), some jazz, pop, folk, some country, chants. And 80% of it is performed by women.

20. Even though not on my list..

I love some modern alternative - Pearl Jam, Green Day, Hole, Garbage, Foo Fighters, Weezer, Stone Temple Pilots to name a few. I don't like the most recent modern rock artists as much as a whole. Nickelback, Creed, 3 Doors Down, and She Wants Revenge pale in comparison IMO.

In the 90s, country represented a big amount of my purchases. Now, I'm pickier, but I still enjoy good country. I still buy from artists like Dixie Chicks, Sugarland, Miranda Lambert, Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, Trisha Yearwood, Patty Loveless..

26. Early 90s "alternative"

For the heavy use of effects in music, I loved the way James Iha and Billy Corgan would use feedback in their music. Heck even James Iha utilizing a freaking Laser Tag pressed against his pickups to make this awesome sound at the end of a set.
