I had a scary rooster alarm clock one. Those blazing red eyes and cry...once was enough I took it back and replaced it.

When I've gotten enough sleep, or even just ALMOST enough sleep, my internal clock will wake me up at the same time every day.
When I haven't gotten nearly enough sleep, I can sleep through anything... none of these would wake me up.
