Wouldn't that be an indication that they might need to beef up inventory? And is Car Pool Guy worth seeing?

2. This has become a huge problem for me--
over the past few months, the time it takes for movies to reach me has been steadily increasing. There was a news story somewhere about it a month or so ago--apparently, they are using a particular business strategy that favors higher-paying customers (i.e., people with the 8-movies-at-a-time plan) over lower-paying customers (i.e., 3-movies-at-a-time, like myself) because they think this is fair.

The way I see it, it's trying to give the absolute least amount of service for the money, which is just bad business if you want to keep customers.

My last batch of movies was supposed to arrive on Thursday and has not yet arrived. It has taken up to 10 days in the past. I think I am going to call and make a stink bc it is getting ridiculous.

3. I have no complaints about the time to get movies
My turnaround time is actual pretty decent, but I am not far from the center and I guess not a heavy user.
Just this one movie in particular says "Very Long Wait." The FAQ says it could be up to 4 months.

4. I do really well 'cause there's a distribution center near me

5. It's not higher paying customers they're favoring...
It's customers who rent fewer DVDs per month. I think the tripping point is when your average cost per DVD (based on your chosen plan) goes below $1.00-1.25/month because it ends up costing them more to mail them than they're making.

They would have gotten it on Saturday; processed and next title out today.

6. $17.95/mo for 3 discs-at-a-time is somewhat high.
They need to improve or I will stop and use blockbuster or even walmart's if I must.

Even with my being slow on some discs, it's still one week per 'new' disc even though, in the past, it was twice as fast (on average).

8. it might be regional
I live in LA, and my disks are received the next day by Netflix, and I get one back to me the next day or two after that. I've never had to wait for anything, but I have pretty eclectic tastes, and rarely request the most popular films.
