1. My dear KitchenWitch!
If there's anyone here who's an idiot.....it is NOT you!

Anyone can make a mistake, sweetie!

How are you otherwise?

I had a very GOOD day!

:woohoo:

4. Shoveling
and getting the snow off the car.

It took me ten minutes to get out of the driveway today.

7. ROFL
Thanks MrsG, needed the chuckle.

They should have closed schools in my community today, but I swear to Dog that the Superintendant here has some sort of pool going with other superintendants and in the entire time he has been Super, he has never closed the schools (our governor did once but not the city Superintendant of Schools)

My son's bus was an hour late to the school, and had to pick up kids from another school, since the other bus got stuck.

It took me 10 minutes to get out of my driveway.

The communities that closed schools had their roads cleared better at 7 AM than my community did at 3 PM. The Highway Patrol told people, via the various media outlets, that they should stay home if they could today. But our schools were open (and my son was drenched all day from walking to the bus stop and waiting forever.)

:grr:

9. Oh man...That's irritating. Our district doesn't close schools (son's
school) because the teachers held out for a contract (that they totally deserved!) and the Super is making them PAY!!! So, when the weather gets bad, I call my son in and tell them that, although they don't seem to care about my son and his safety...I do. ;) Sorry for the bad day. :(

10. The superintendant is getting a well written rant letter
about how he compromised our children's safety this morning.

Our school year has snow days built into it, and we never take them, but the kids never get let out of school earlier... :eyes:

16. I thought they closed everyone's schools (except for St. Paul)?
I guess I missed that they didn't close yours.

No suprise they kept St. Paul's open, though. They'd keep those open if The Rapture™ were happening.
