A great, yet deeply flawed film, and not simply because of the red loincloth and matching bandoleer.

5. One of my favorites. Own the DVD

The DVD of Zardoz is great. An excellent print and commentary track from Boorman.

One good story from the commentary is how Connery wrangled a per diem for a driver and then drove himself every day and pocketed it. A true scotsman!!

I know the movie has detractors but I found it to be interesting and an attempt at something greater in SF movies than Buck Rogers and bug-eyed-monsters.
