Coming Sunday, March 19th
my dad would have turned 60. I can't really grab it. It feels strange to think about it.

To my dad! I love you

5. No, it never stops. But thank The Maker, after time goes by,
it doesn't hurt quite so much to think about it. Instead, thinking of him brings laughter and a feeling of love, rather than heart-rending pain.

6. Yes, I enjoy thinking about the good times as well
but I also think often of the time when he was sick and got worse and worse. And even though it hurt to see him go it was an intense time I don't want to miss. We had at least the chance to say Good-bye to him and to show him how loved he was.

8. I will go to his grave Saturday with my mom
bringing some flowers. But with this cold weather here we won't be able to plant anything.

11. I'm sure your mother will be grateful for your company and support.
I remember when you posted pictures of your father last year. We never stop missing the people we love when they're gone.

I haven't been back to my father's grave since he was buried in '74.

the got separated in 1990 divorced in 1996. They stayed friends though. And it was never a question for her to be there for my dad and us when my dad was so sick and dying.

10. Yes we did
when my parents separated I stayed with my dad (as did my brother). For a couple of years I was female number one in his life :) I think we had a close relationship.

15. Oh MissH
He'll always be with you in your heart. I'm glad that the two of you had such a close relationship. Says a lot about your Dad, and you too for that matter.

16. Thank you SimplyF
yes, he'll be always with me. It just hurts to think about what he is missing. He was always there for me and was concerned about my well being.
