I need your opinions on the P2P program Morpheus.

I had Morpheus on my old computer (before the motherboard fried, don't ask me why), and I had about 300 songs downloaded from the program onto My Music. I'm just wondering, because it has been about 9 months or so since I used it, if Morpheus has not been shut down by the (diah)RIAA yet, and if it's still safe as far as spyware and adware goes.

It was a fairly useful program for me. I could find almost any song I wanted, with the exception of a few. Any opinions on Morpheus from techies out there??

4. My advice.....

stay away from P@P. They are abysmally slow and the connections are unreliable. Plus they are notorious for viruses and such.
Try using newsgroups (most ISPs have a news server). Your download speed will be the same as your connect speed, no drop outs, and virtually untraceable back to you. Of course, you still have the virus issue, but the groups are well monitored and those are removed quickly.

Morpheus seems to be adware safe. I'd take GiC's advice and go with Soulseek though.
