Houston, TX - I Need Help

This town is...uhh...pretty confusing. So far I've counted 3 or 4 downtown skylines. I need help. I'm staying in River Oaks what should I do for the next two nights? And don't say "Galleria" tell me exactly where to go. Or better yet show me. :beer:

1. Whenever I am in Texas there are 5 things that I most want to do:

1. Drive east to Louisiana
   
2. Drive northeast to Arkansas
   
3. Drive north to Oklahoma
   
4. Drive west to New Mexico
   
5. Drive south to Mexico

I actually liked Houston, and I'm a Californian Blue State Liberal Elitist (as southlandshari lovingly called me)

And there is something there for everyone. And yes, 3 skylines can be confusing.

Did you know there are no zoning laws in Houston?

It is Tom Delay's district, after all. The tallest building in all of Texas is in the middle of a suburb.
