6. I bookmarked this thread so I could check her site out further
I love glass art, too. I have several glass fish, including one piece of Venetian glass. Don't know what it is about glass art; probably how versitile it can be in terms of what it can be made into.

one of those little Bambi-like deer that some art school asked people to copy and send to their admissions department years ago...

8. Beautiful pieces....
...nice art. Reminds me alot of Higgins glass art. There's a definite influence there. Higgins really brought alot of those concepts together. I hope she realizes all those who came before her. Very nice....

21. My friend asked me to thank you...
She wasn't familiar with Higgins; so she looked them up online and was thrilled with what she saw. My friend's "main inspirations are
Calder and Matisse (especially the cut-outs)."

She is very serious about her work, spending several hours each day learning about various techniques and studying the works of different artists. She's also a wonderful violinist and violist; and I consider myself fortunate to be her colleague. Nina's a multi-talented artist with a refreshingly positive attitude.

She also made the trip to Crawford with Code Pink...a truly kindred spirit! :)

22. Cool! I'm so glad she checked them out....
...I think she'll soon find them to be an inspiration, too! The were real pioneers in the fused glass approach. Thanks for letting me know!...:hi:
