Just got back from my trip to New York City

Moved here from upstate. What part of the city are you in?

Yes, I know, Staten Island... It's not so bad. I live in a good area right near the ferry. Much less expensive than Brooklyn but much less cosmopolitan too.

Are you coming to the next NYC Meet-up? The last one I went to was right around the Republican National Convention, so I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at this one.

10. We're being pushed out of Brooklyn.

Hopefully moving to Jersey in a few months. Only place we can afford to finally buy something, instead of renting.

I don't know where it will be. None of the boroughs are affordable. NJ is only affordable if you move way out...

Not a lot of good choices. I hope you find a great place. Renting forever sucks.

12. We found a place in East Orange.

In a not so nice neighborhood. Newly refurbished condo building. It's a start. It's barely in our price range, but a few blocks from the train station and a half an hour to Penn Station. I work close to Penn Station which works out for me.

I'm sure a few of us could meet you for lunch or dinner somewhere and have a mini-meetup. It wouldn't have been cool to meet another DUer.
