I listened to one owned CD:

Roger Williams - Plays Popular Melodies That Will Live Forever (nice renditions - this CD is from Readers' Digest)

And one CD at a full album listening party:

Danielle Peck - self-titled (pretty strong voice, but there are too many overblown ballads. And Terri Clark has done the faster style better. That said, "I Don't" is an amusing song. She joins Shannon Brown and Josh Turner as recent country disappointments. Josh also has the voice, but needs better songs. A line like "you could say we're like two peas in a pod - Me and God" won't cut it.

52. Grades for these CDs
Roger Williams - A (all piano, which makes it a unique addition to my collection)

Danielle Peck - C+ (with Shannon Brown being C, and Josh Turner being C+)

BTW, I love Joni! Can't get much better songs than hers. Her voice isn't an absolute favorite of mine, but it doesn't detract from her stuff.

Most recently I listened to these albums:

The Sounds - Dying To Say This To You (on full album listening party) - definitely want this CD. They do punk-tinged new wave like Blondie, but they aren't copies. Grade: A

Jewel - 0304: Thought I'd take it out again. Still think it doesn't sound like Jewel, who has a warm voice. Production is a bit too tinny. Some songs that I like are: "Leave The Lights On," "2 Become 1," "America." "U & Me = Love" is a good dance song that should have been given to someone else. Some of these titles seem to be spoofs, BTW. Grade: C+

Goldfrapp - Supernature: Originally, I thought it would be too electronica for me, but it is not. Very good CD!

55. i see something of myself in everyone, just at this moment of the world
Still sometimes the slightest touch of a stranger
Can set up trembling in my bones
I know - no one's going to show me everything
We all come and go unknown
Each so deep and superficial
Between the forceps and the stone
Well I looked at the granite markers
Those tributes to finality - to eternity
And then I looked at myself here
Chicken scratching for my immortality
