what are your favorite songs by any one of them?

They are- Blondie, Black Sabbath, Miles Davis, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and the Sex Pistols. Of course, Sabbath is my favorite of the five, so I'll have to go with "Snowblind," "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath," or "Symptom of the Universe."

And Skynyrd's "Gimme Three Steps" is the greatest song ever written about cowardice.

5. Musically they surely didn't have the skills but

they were the start of the Punk movement which brought great changes in the world of music. I mean, if I'm correct they only ever recorded one record (Never mind the Bollocks). One would suspect that Nirvana would be inducted for the same exact reason since they started the Grunge movement and again there was a great shift in the music being put out there

I think it's cool that they were inducted despite their distaste for it.
I still remember how amazing it was to hear Sid's version of My Way for the first time way back when.

I can't tell you how exciting it was to hear that version on the radio for the first time. Nothing else sounded like that. My girlfriend and I jumped around like maniacs, saying, what is this!!!!????

They wrote some great tunes and Jones, Matlock and Cook were pretty good. I know they say Steve Jones didn't play on all that stuff, but I say he did.
