The Kiss
I just got this from a friend. Had to share :)

The Kiss ..

He had just saved her from a fire in her house, rescuing her by carrying her out of the house into her front yard, while he continued to fight the fire.

She is pregnant.

When he finally finished putting the fire out, he sat down to catch his breath and rest.

A photographer from the Charlotte, North Carolina newspaper, "The Observer," noticed her in the distance looking at the fireman

He saw her walking straight toward the fireman and wondered what she was going to do.

As he raised his camera, she came up to the tired man who had saved her life and the lives of her babies, and kissed him, just as the photographer snapped this photograph:

8. Some very brave NYC Firemen saved my cat Billie and her kittens.
My apartment caught fire while I was out one day. I came home to find my place totaled.

No humans were hurt but I did lose a few other pets. Billie lived with me for over 18 years. I'm very grateful for the help that came when they were needed that day back in 1974.

12. You're welcome!
I just took my son on a field trip to the local fire station today. They were so kind about showing us around and letting him see the inside of the trucks. They didn't ask for money for the tour; but I'm going to send them a donation to let them know we appreciate their work.

15. Nice picture, but...he didn't actually save her life
According to Snopes:

18. Maybe he didn't carry her out...
but from what Snopes describes, it still sounds like she was grateful for what he was doing. It's possible that she was the dog that was inside the house; and that she wouldn't have made it out if they hadn't opened the door.

Thanks for the info! :-)

20. Critters sense the good in people
And the bad.

I'm absolutely certain she was thanking him for helping, whether he actually rescued her or not.
