Misheard Lyrics Anyone?
I heard my favorite on the way to work this morning. I have NO idea what it really says.

"Blinded by the light....racked up like a douche, another rubber in the night."

1. My niece, when little sang "everytime you go away you take a
piece of meat with you". She may still think those are the words. :)

8. The actual words are almost as incomprehensible:
"Blinded by the light... revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night"

I won a twisted lyrics contest on this one:

The misheard lyric was "Cinnamon Gum"

The actual lyric was "Shoulda been gone" from 'Oh Sherrie' by Steve Perry.

particularly from "The Creed"

Which says: "He was buried under Pontius Pilot"

and I heard as "He was buried under a Bunch of Spiders"

19. I'll see your beating eggs and raise you...
...Daryl Hall and John Oates. The chorus to "I Can't Go For That" sounds EXACTLY like "tentou fuder" (tried to fuck) in Portuguese.

Needless to say, that song was the source of great amusement for Brazilian radio DJ's circa 1981. We called it "The Attempt Song."

14. OMG!!! We joking on that at band practice last night!
My band does these oddball medleys of tunes (just for entertainment value), and we were goofin' on a medley of "Swingtown (come on and dance)" by Steve Miller and "Safety Dance" by Men Without Hats. And since we were in Steve Miller mode, we also played "Big Old Jet Had A Light On", too.

That CAN'T be a conicidence.

25. My all-time favorite: "Slow motion Walter, the fire engine guy."
Also known as "Smoke on the water, a fire in the sky."

The fact that it's about a Frank Zappa concert helps put it in the number one position. ;)
