Poll question: For St. Patrick's Day - green beer or not?
Edited on Thu Mar-16-06 11:20 AM by tigereye
I'm Irish. I don't understand why people drink green beer for St. Patrick's Day. It's usually crap beer with food coloring. There are so many wonderful beers, Irish and otherwise. Why not drink those, or just drink Guiness?

Just sayin.

whoops poll function failed. Sorry. Just say yay or nay or make up your own joke.

3. No Green Beer!
Guinness is the best option. Not that I wait for March 17 to drink it. On the special day, I'll add a shot of Powers Irish Whiskey.

4. NO
I don't like food coloring pointlessly added to beer. If you're wearing green on St. Patrick's day, that's enough of a personal tribute.

A good Irish beer on St. Pat's is fine enough. No need to change the color.

6. Green beer is for Orangemen.
Guinness or other Irish dark beers are the only acceptable ways to commemorate the holiday in a sectarian setting.

And while we're at it, soda bread is not sugary sweet and covered with glaze, but it should have raisins and caraway.
