Was my great grandfathers name who supposedly came from Ireland during the potatoe famine. But then I walked into a Scottish shop in Bryn Mawr PA and the shop owner named Farrell was bragging about his Scottish roots. Will this site tell me how the Farrells became Irish??

I've got distant cousins that passed through Ulster on their way to America. They were dispossessed of their lands by the Scottish king after they refused to allow the king's men to rape and pillage their land.

They were border reivers whose land was constantly under attack by both English and Scottish armies. Eventually they stopped taking sides and just attacked anybody who came through and destroyed their homes-- both English and Scots. It was the only way they could survive.

American Indian-German-Irish and some other mutt-like stuff.

Not sure what all I have in me, but I'm mostly Indian-German-Irish that I know of. Nearly half Indian altogether, with the most being 1/4 Blackfeet. I am also Nez Perce (1/8) and Chippewa Cree. (not sure about the Blood on that one)

In general, I can drink a lot and can handle myself pretty well in a fistfight. It's all in the genes. :)
