Ouch. I'm going to have one helluva bruise in the morning.
My foot caught on something and I fell forward. I tried to grab something to break my fall, but it just scraped the inside of my arm for about 14 inches.

10. Yes'm, I was never one to bruise until...
I got on an aspirin each day and blood thinners after a heart attack a couple of years ago. I do so hope our fears come to nothing and our Dear Friend is spared severe bruising.

8. There's abrasion
But I'm not bleeding.

Do I really need to ice it? I don't think I have any.

11. My dear yvr girl!
Yes, you are bleeding.....that's what a bruise it......broken blood vessels under the skin....

You don't absolutely have to have ice, but it will help heal the bruise faster.....it's up to you!

Anything cold will do...a package of frozen peas will do it!

13. OK, the bleeding is contained within my skin
I'll see if I have some frozen veggies. Not sure though. Will a bag of salad work?

12. Use ice if you can get it, Dear. If not, a cool moistened towel may help.
I am so sorry you've been injured, Sweety! ;-(

18. Thank you, Dear. Peggy is entirely correct...
Anything cold will slow further swelling or the rupture of vessels for several hours. After the damage is done and stabilized, reverse and use warm compresses to increase the circulation of blood and healing fluids to the area.

17. Yup! Ice it!
Can keep a bruise from turning into a nightmare of a bruise.

My remedy: Anything from the freezer oe ice cubes in a ziplock bag. 20 minutes on, 10 minutes off, repeat and repeat. (The off time keeps from giving your skin a freeze burn.)

The first hour is the most important.

14. there is no problems so bad
that you cannot add a little guilt to it, and make it worse.

Although, if you don't have guilt, lemon juice will do in a pinch. When life gives you lemons, wing them right back and add some lemons of your own.

19. You have lost me entirely. Blemishes...
on a woman's delicate skin should be isolated to a few love bites, if anything. IMHO, of course!
