I just received an email with no header at all, except "30"

Seriously - no to, from, x-sender, IPs - nothing. Every field blank, and the entire RFC-822 header had a blank line, and then a line with just "30"

Here it is:

What the hell?! I've had blank emails before, but they always still had at least some semblance of a real header, even if it was most likely entirely faked.

How the hell did this even get through anything?

1. With the help of the ISPs !

There is no other way.
I've long suspected the ISPs as the origin of the spam.
At the very least, they are complicit.

2. As a former journalist, I would say that's a bad sign.

--30--- is what we used to put at the end of all stories to signify the end. And, in the state press association journal, deceased editors' and reported' obituaries appeared under the heading "30 Dash." :scared:

Ignore it. It's crap and it doesn't mean anything. Hell, I get email everyday from guys like Auspicious R. Tameable and Curioser N. Cialis. :shrug:

3. And here's some more weirdness - if I click on the email,

to open it up, and have the headers displayed, the characters that show up change each time I open it up.

I've gotten "BB", "82", "55", a dash and a box, blanks, and a few other two-character combinations.

What the fucking hell?
