Computer geeks: the Mouse Problem
Lately, my HP scroll mouse has lost a bit off its wheel accuracy, or something. Often when scrolling with the wheel, it'll seem to get stuck between detent stops and the active window will bounce up and down.

I took the mouse apart and cleaned it thoroughly a couple of weeks ago, but it didn't fix the problem. (Yes, it all went back together properly.)

Ideas?

1. I think it's time to bid a fond farewell to your old mouse.
Sometimes you just got to let go.

2. Feed it to the cat and get a new one.

3. Blow taps on that rodent and get another one.
Sorry, but all good things must come to an end. :(

4. Sounds like a mechanical problem.
The parts to keep the wheel aligned may be wearing out. Mice are cheaper nowadays. I'd suggest buying a new one.

5. If it were a wireless mouse, I'd suggest replacing the batteries
If not, it's broke and not worth fixing. Get a wireless mouse. They are the shiznit.
