It's pho tonite!

We love pho at our house--something comforting about the broth, the rice noodles, the mushrooms, the holy basil leaves, the squirts of lime and sprinklings of bamboo shoots. Then there are the additions of chilis. Mmmm.

4. Actually it's the best, of MANY pictures I perused on Google images. It

has the little droplets of fat floating on the surface, the onions, the beefy looking beef flanks... that pic captures the essence of the things I love about pho, with the exception of the smell and taste, of course!

the weird thing is that there are crowds of Hmong and Asians. Just no Pho shop.

9. I've looked for recipes, and I've found some.

I've tried making it several times. But the recipes hopelessly inadequate. Can't beat a real Vietnamese restaurant.
