OKay -- if you have a phone that acts as a wireless internet connection, is there anyway to hook your PC up to it?

But I would think that if the phone is a wireless connection, you'd need a wireless network card or router on your computer...

3. When I bought my last cell phone |
|
they told me that, with the internet sub, I could plug the computer into the bottom and get access that way.
Is that similar to what you are talking about?

My boss has one of those Palm Treos that have a broadband internet connection and also runs Windows Micro (or whatever they now call WinCE), and he can plug it into his laptop for broadband wireless service. The phone was around $400, and the service is around $80/month.

6. That's what this is like (it's my friend I'm asking for) |
|
However, she has no idea how the PC plugs into the phone... She was on hold for over an hour with the service, and no one ever picked up.

7. With mine, there's a connection on the bottom. |
|
It's not USB though. It came with a cord that will connect to the bottom of the phone on one end, and it's USB on the other.
I'm sorry that I don't know what the phone-end-connector is called, but I'm not very techie like that.

Then yes. Just enable the the Blue Tooth on the computer and phone.
If you want to use your wireless access from say a Pocket PC to another computer, there's a hack for that.
