Dinner is served!
I'm staying in the dorms over spring break due to a paper I have due next week in Media Law. Since the Dining hall is closed, we are on our own for making our meals.

Tonight's menu:

A can of Cheddar Baked Potato Chunky Soup
Some of those new Lay's Selects Lime and cracked pepper flavored kettle chips. (actually, these aren't too bad, the way the flavors work together is intersting.
To drink, some Diet Coke
For dessert some Thin Mints I bought from the local Girl Scout Troop at the store.

Tomorrow night I think I'll make some Chili Beans and Rice.

1. That's pretty much got all the major food groups covered. Sugar, Salt,
Nutrasweet, and Cheese.

2. I swear, the Girl Scouts must put crack in these thin mints or something.
I just wish I had some milk.

3. I had Thin Mints for dessert too!
and yes, I agree with you, that they must put crack or something equivalent in those damn things. I am now going downstairs for a big glass of milk to wash them all down with.

For dinner, I had Popeye's Fried Chicken. Yummy. All the basic food groups: grease, fat, cholesterol, and chocolate for dessert. Um hmm...

4. I like your idea of dinner, lavenderdiva!

I NEED chocolate so badly...or some kind of sugar fix...I've been eating honey straight out of the tub because there's a blizzard and I can't go out to get some.

5. A blizzard! Yuk yuk yuk....
I only sort of get why people need sugar and caffeine, I do just fine with sugar or without, but as for caffeine? I must admit I understand people who drink coffee when they have to get up a few hours earlier than usual or whatnot (though I don't myself) but what in the name of God's green Haliburton furtherance device possessed you to put it in soft drink?

Mind you, a little chocolate can be tasty..... mmmmmm..... but I find if I have it too often it tastes bland.

8. I don't drink pop very often
or coffee at all, for that matter. Never understood the coffee thing myself.

Canucks don't have caffeine in their soft drinks.

You need to have some Lindt. (or even better quality chocolate);)

6. it was mighty tasty too!
You don't have ANY chocolate in the house at all? Nothing even like baking chocolate and some sugar that you can make something with? I'm so sorry if you don't! I will eat some more for you, ok?

7. Please do, lavenderdiva!
I don't do any baking...I've got a lot of food sensitivities and just can't be bothered to spend $20-30 on the different flours I'd need (like almond, chickpea, tapioca, etc).

Chocolate doesn't last long around me, anyway...:scared:

9. Popeye's = the best, and deadliest, fast food EVER. The red beans and rice
is the all time greatest fast food side order in history.

10. LOVE Popeye's red beans and rice is fabulous,
and so are their mashed potatoes and gravy. Have you ever had them? They don't taste like instant potatoes at all. Last week, for the first time, I tried their green beans, and they tasted like what your grandmother would make... Delicious!!

Yum...yum. I deserved making something good after this 41-year-old body was forced to play soccer today...

But....ummm..... the Thin Mints sound yummy...

Cedar-planked salmon is gooooood. He grills it with lots of herbs and lemon and gawd knows what else. :9
